Excursion to Wacker Chemie AG 2025
The Institute of Separation Science and Technology, in collaboration with the Wacker Chemie AG, organized an educational excursion to the chemical site in Burghausen on April 25, 2025. Students of the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering were granted the opportunity to gain profound insights into the daily routine of chemical engineers. The thermal separation processes, which the students learned in the lecture, could then be admired in reality and on an industrial scale during a subsequent chemical plant bus tour. The day was rounded off with a guided tour of a subplant of the chemical site.
