From May 22 – May 27 2022, the Fundamentals of Adsorption  (FOA) took place in Denver, Colorado, USA. Prof. Matthias Thommes, Simon Eder and Carola Schlumberger presented current research results of the group Adsorption and Nanoporous Materials Characterization. Prof. Thommes talked about current results on “Adsorption and phase behavior of pure fluids (eg., CO2, CH4, C2H4) in nanoporous materials with hierarchical pore structure” (authors: Peter Leicht, Simon Eder and Matthias Thommes) and about physisorption characterization during an invited tutorial: “Physisorption Characterization of Nanoporous Materials – A Tutorial”. Carola Schlumberger presented a poster with her current results on “Adsorption and nanoporous materials characterization in the liquid phase: Novel methodologies based on NMR relaxometry” (authors: C. Schlumberger, M. Thommes).

During the conference, Prof. Thommes was introduced as Fellow of the International Adsorption Society (IAS).
